What altitude are the Toubkal refuges?
Despite numerous attempts and many configurations, I have never managed to achieve a "true" reading of 3200m or thereabouts for the CAF Neltner refuge or the new Mouflon refuge.
Imlil is at 1740m. Resetting the altimeter leaving Imlil, my altimeter always shows 3150m give or take 10 metres on my arrival at the Toubkal refuges. (the CAF Neltner one is supposed to be 3207m as per the map).
The other day I left the altimeter reading at 3150m and on arrival at the summit of Toubkal, the altimeter read 4165m - pretty close to the actual summit height of 4167m!
Reversing the move, on arrival from the summit I found the altimeter reading 3155m....
Maybe others have had this experience as well?
